This propelled his rookie career as he secured three wins, two seconds and a third in 2014. In the following year in the 2015 FIM CEV Repsol Moto3, while many rooted for his bid for titleholder, he ended the season in fourth place. Mir made his Grand Prix debut in the same year at the Australian Grand Prix, replacing the injured Hiroko Ono and made a stellar first impression. The Spaniard continued upwards at the World Championship with Leopard Racing aboard a KTM in 2016 and scored Rookie of the Year after dominating the Austrian Grand Prix for his first victory.

Later in 2017, Mir maintained with Leopard Racing in his bid for the title but onboard a Honda instead. He went through the season with ten impressive wins before claiming the title in Phillip Island, which is the same venue he made his debut. The Palma native continued to move forward to Moto2 with EG 0,0 Marc VDS to partner Alex Marquez in 2018. He went on to secure two podiums and Rookie of the year and went on to the premier class with Team Suzuki Ecstar. Mir had a stellar maiden year in MotoGP. Now in 2020 with his first-ever MotoGP title, Mir aims to continue making remarkable progress to maintain his victory.
