BMW Motorrad Presents Definition CE 04 Electric Scooter Concept

BMW Motorrad presents the near series version of the BMW BMW Motorrad Concept Link, the Definition CE 04 electric scooter concept at #NEXTGen 2020.

The electric BMW Motorrad Definition CE 04 concept incorporates revolutionary urban aesthetics and styling. From the minimalist look to the electric powertrain, the CE 04  looks like it’s right from the future. If it doesn’t ring a bell,  the Definition CE 04 shares many designs and innovative elements with the BMW Motorrad Concept Link which was showcased over 3 years ago in 2017.

BMW Motorrad says the Definition CE 04 concept has been consistently developed and adapted to meet the needs and requirement of the consumers.  In fact, BMW Motorrad’s aim with the Definition CE 04 is to combine their customer’s analogue world with the digital one.

The folks at BMW says, with the new Definition CE 04 concept the aim is to transform the vision from 2017 to production readiness. So, does that mean the Definition CE 04 would soon roll out as a production model? Yes, it sure does sound like it!

So speaking of the design of the new Definition CE 04 concept, the electric scooter concept follows clear lines though out. Large surfaces painted in mineral white metallic combines both the minimalist look and the scooter’s muscular character. On the other hand, the precise forms covered in two coloured white and orange tone add a sense of contemporary aesthetics.

To go hand in hand with the fresh modern look, the drive system, spring strut, single-sided swingarm and tooth belt are painted in matt black.

As the Definition CE 04 is all about going from analogue to digital, the electric scooter features a massive 10.25-inch display.  BMW says the rider can also connect with their surroundings via a combination of the scooter and their smartphone.

On the ergonomic side of things, the Definition CE 04 is designed in a way to ensure rider comfort at all times regardless of their body size.

As it is more of a design prototype, BMW Motorrad hasn’t announced any technical details yet. However, features like the integrated underfloor slim battery pack and the compact drive unit on the rear wheel hint that BMW Motorrad would most definitely add the tech that the Definition CE 04 deserves.
