PETRONAS Sprinta Racing riders Xavi Vierge and Jake Dixon will be making their way to Automotodrom Brno this week. The duo will continue to make progress in the Moto2 Championship by bouncing back from the difficulties in Jerez. Both Vierge and Dixon are geared up to get better results.

Xavi and Jake will start their GP weekend on Friday, with their first Free Practice session at 10.55 am local time (4.55 pm MYT). Sunday’s Moto2 race is due to get underway at 12.20 pm local time (6.20 pm MYT).

“Brno is a track that I really like as I’ve always had good races there. I love the layout with its mix of uphill and downhill. Also, the section in the middle is so tight and tricky. You need to focus on this part and find the flow; if you can do this then it makes the rest of the lap a little easier. The best part has to be the last one though, the uphill with chicanes. It’s a track that you need to be so smooth with the bike and take a lot of speed into the corners. After having a few days of relaxing and training, it feels good to be preparing to go racing again. This weekend I’m looking to find our rhythm, make sure we’ve got a great set-up for the race and aim to be within the top-five, maybe even fight for the podium!”

“The two races at Jerez were difficult, especially as I felt that we had the potential to do well, so it feels good to be heading to a different circuit. I really like the Brno circuit; I feel like I might be able to show what we can do and be closer to the front there. The important thing will be linking up the sections in the best way. There are a lot of left-to-right chicanes and if you don’t get the exit right it really hinders your lap time. I think to get a good lap time here you have to get the exit right on the corners and focus on how you link the sections together. I think this circuit suits my riding style, so I want to be inside the points and pushing into that top-ten.”
