Velocifero shows off three of its newest models at Bangkok Motor Show

Velocifero makes its Thailand debut during the recent Bangkok Motor show and shows off three of its latest electric scooter and bike models!

Velocifero Beach MAD

Velocifero is an electric mobility brand founded by Industrial designer, Alessandro Tartarini. Alessandro’s father, Leopoldo was the one who founded Italjet back in 1959. Alessandro was also the person who was in charge of designing a few well-known Italjet bikes like the Italjet Formula and Italjet Dragster.

You might know the Italjet Dragster because of its astonishing design. Well, with Velocifero, Tartarini aims to influence the electric scooter market, much like what Italjet did to regular scooters.

At the Bangkok Motor Show, Velocifero made its Thailand debut and showed off three of their latest models. These models include the MAD, E-Classic and (our favourite) Beach MAD.

MAD

The Velocifero MAD is a foldable electric scooter with seat and oversized 6-inch tires with 145mm tires- something you hardly see on electric scooters. Underneath the skateboard like wooden deck, the scooter packs its batteries and motor. Talking about the motor, the MAD comes with five options of motors to pick from (ranges between 500w and 1600W). In case of the battery, you have the option to pick between the lead-acid or lithium-ion batteres. The depending on the battery and motor combo, MAD can reach a top speed of 45 km/h and have a range of 30 to 40 km. When it comes to design, MAD features a removable seat and folding handlebars to meet the riding, transport and storage needs. Aside from the flashy wooden deck and the fat tires, the double headlight and saddlebags (optional) enhance the overall look of the scooter.

Note: There are numerous other scooters in Velocifero’s MAD lineup so if you want to check them out, click here!

E-Classic

The 2nd model that Velocifero introduced was the E-Classic. The E-Classic is an electric “bike” which comes in two different versions: E-Classic elegant and retro and E-Classic Sport. In short, E-Classic is basically a vintage style bicycle that comes with the brand’s trademark: fat tires and electric motors. If you look closely there is the faux twin-cylinder head…the purpose? to troll other riders of course! E-Classic comes with an LED instrument cluster and a 9 mode electric-assist. E-Classic has a top speed of 25km/h and has a range of 80km…pretty impressive for an electric-assisted bicycle, eh?

Beach MAD

The 3rd model is the Beach MAD, one of our favourites. For now, there isn’t much information on the model yet, however, MotorFan from Japan got their hands on one and they said the Beach MAD comes with a 2,000-watt motor and can reach a top speed of 60kmh. On top of this, they said the bike feels more like a 50cc scooter and has a range of 60-70 km.

Availability and pricing are not announced yet. However, from Velocifero’s official website, the brand sells their bike in 26 countries ( Including Malaysia!) so we believe details on pricing and availability should roll in soon!
