BMW Motorrad Presents the New BMW F 750 GS and BMW F 850 GS!

BMW Motorrad presents the new BMW F 750 GS, BMW F 850 GS and BMW F 850 GS Adventure and announces a range of new style options for the F series to commemorate 40 years of GS!

The mid-range BMW F 750 GS, BMW F 850 GS and BMW F 850 GS Adventure have been known for their reliable controllability, impressive power and of course their extensive touring and everyday riding capabilities on both on-road and offroad. BMW introduces three variants of the mid-range GS for 2021 with a fresher and dynamic appeal. Thanks to the new colour options which enhances the “GS-ness” of the range. Aside from this, the new models come in with a range of standard equipment and also an array of new optional equipment.


The new BMW F 750 GS, BMW F 850 GS and BMW F 850 GS Adventure roll in with an all-new tape design. Aside from this, the range comes with new LED turn signals as standard and a USB charger at the front right of the cockpit. On top of this, as standard, the mid-range F series comes in with ABS Pro and DTC (Dynamic Traction Control) as standard which further enhances braking and safety.

In the case of the engine, all the three models are powered by a liquid-cooled, 4 valve, 853 cc 2-cylinder engine (mated to a 6-speed gearbox). BMW says, the engine is already optimized for the Euro 5 emission standard and the new two counterbalance shafts help to deliver a smooth spontaneous response. Aside from this, the new engine also comes in with an impressive pulling power while maintaining a low fuel consumption.  As for the power figures, the BMW F 750 GS pushes out 77 hp (57kW) at 7,500 rpm and puts out a peak torque of 82 Nm at 6,000 rpm. On the other hand, the BMW F850 GS and BMW F 850 GS Adventure puts out 95 hp at 8,2500 rpm and 92 Nm peak torque at 6,250 rpm.

F 750 GS Styling Options

In the case of the styling options, the BMW F 750 GS comes in light white, sports style and the latest ” 40 Years GS Edition” options. In the case of the light white option, the bike comes in light white paintwork with black matt rims, black handlebars and a red/black seat bench.


As for the sports style option, it comes in San Marino Blue metallic colour with a tinted windscreen, granite grey metallic rims, silver handlebars, black-grey seat bench and a galvanised radiator cowl.


In the case of the new ” 40 Yeas GS Edition”, the bike comes with an all-new “40 Years GS” logo on the side panels to celebrate the anniversary of the GS range. This 40 Years GS Edition comes with a yellow hand-protector bar, black-yellow bench seat BMW R100 GS style black matt rims, silver handlebars and galvanised radiator cowl.


F 850 GS Styling Options

The BMW F 850 GS, on the other hand, comes in Racing Red, Rallye style and the ” 40 Years GS Edition” options. The Racing Red option comes in basic racing red paintwork, black-coated front tubes, black rims and black/grey sear bench.


 

As for the Rallye style option, the bike comes painted in racing blue metallic colour with hand-protector bars, black fork tubes, black-red seat bench, gold rims and galvanised radiator cowl.


The 40 Years GS Edition for the BMW F 850 GS comes in black storm metallic with “40 Years GS” logo on the side panels. Aside from this, the bike comes with yellow hand-protector bars, black/yellow seat bench, gold rims, black fork tubes and a galvanised radiator cowl. On top of this, the BMW F 850 GS comes with a windscreen adjustment mechanism and a TFT display with connectivity function.


F 850 GS Adventure Styling Options

Moving on, the BMW F 850 GS Adventure has three styling options; Ice grey, Rallye style and the ” 40 Years GS Edition”. The Ice grey option comes with basic ice grey paintwork, black fixed fork tubes, black rims and grey-black comfort seat blend.


The Rallye style comes in Kalamata metallic matt paintwork with gold rims, gold fork tubes, sports windscreen and a black/grey upholstered Rallye seat with a seat height of 890 mm which gives the adventure a sporty appearance.


As for the ” 40 Years GS Edition” the bike comes painted in black storm metallic paintwork with yellow hand-protector bars, the anniversary logo, black-coated fork tubes, gold rims and a black-yellow upholstered seat bench with 860mm seat height alongside a TFT display with connectivity functions as standard.


Optional Equipment

The new BMW F 750 GS, BMW F 850 GS and BMW F 850 GS Adventure range have Pro riding mode as optional equipment. Reworked throttle response in Dynamic riding mode now ensures more riding enjoyment and dynamics. Aside from this, the Pro riding modes now feature dynamic engine brake control and Dynamic Brake Control (DBC). Other than this, the new Pro riding mode comes with preselection of up to four riding modes which can be adjusted via the handlebar controls. (For the BMW F 750 GSto get this feature, the connectivity optional equipment is needed)*

Furthermore, extra-low seat bench and modified lowered suspension for all three models are also available. As completely switching off the ABS is no longer permissible under legal homologation regulation (in the future), the Enduro and Enduro Pro riding models provide controls for this purpose. The ABS function can be switch on and off in Enduro Pro riding mode for BMW F 850 GS and BMW F 850 GS Adventure only.

Aside from this, accessories like the GPS holder for the BMW F 850 GS range and sports silencer for the BMW F 750 GS are also available from BMW Motorrad Accessories.

Price and Availability

As for the pricing and availability, there are no announcements yet. In the case of the availability here in Malaysia, we believe it would get into Malaysia by 2020 or by early 2021 at least.
