The 2019 British Superbike Championship (BSB) just finished off with its third event this weekend at Donnington Park. This time, there were three races in the Superbike class instead of two. One was held on Saturday whereas the other two took place on Sunday. According to BMW Motorrad, the team saw great results with Christian Iddon of Tyco BMW Motorrad being the best-placed rider in race one. The Briton came in seventh in his BMW S 1000 RR. He right ahead of teammate Keith Farmer who came in eighth. Smiths Racing’s Peter Hickman capped the top ten after that. Race two had to be stopped after 18 laps due to the bad weather. The rain was called it a day for everyone and Iddon was sixth places, with Hickman in ninth and Farmer in tenth. The third race took place after the race stopped and Iddon made it to sixth place again with Hickman coming in seventh but Farmer had to retire early after an unfortunate fall.

Alex Olsen managed to claim second and third place on Saturday, securing podium wins without fail. On Sunday he also claimed third place. Bathams Racing’s Taylor Mackenzie secured fifth, seventh and fourth place. As for the Spanish Superbike Championship (ESBK) that also took place at the weekend. The Circuit de Catalunya was held in Barcelona, Spain. Defending champion and BMW racer Carmelo Morales of BMW easyRace Team clinched the pole position on his BMW S 1000 RR. Morales finished fourth on Sunday whereas Marcos Solorza of Castromaroto Racing) finished the race in eleventh position.
