Beatriz Neila to become first women at the VR46 Master Camp

Beatriz Neila to become first women at the VR46 Master Camp

May 9, 2019

The Spanish female rider Beatriz Neila was invited to be part of the next Yamaha VR46 Master Camp held by the experts of the VR46 Academy.

It’s becoming one of the most important training programs for young riders around the world. This year the Yamaha VR46 Master Camp will bring together some of the most impressive young riders from around the world. This five-day intensive master camp is the creation of Valentino Rossi and his VR46 Academy. And, for the first time ever, a female rider will train with the boys!

The special honor will be given to Spanish 17-year old Beatriz Neila. The World Supersport 300 rider, for Yamaha, has been getting good results this season, so the VR46 Academy thought she needs to face this tough training program.

She will face, even if in a friendly way, tough opposition from all the other riders invited to the Yamaha VR46 Master Camp. The training will be given by VR46 Academy expert instructors. Riders will also be analyzed by a personal trainer for peak performance. And the training will happen in a variety of scenarios, including at the famous VR46 Moto Ranch flat track circuit.

For this seventh edition, Valentino Rossi decided to do some changes. The nine-times World Champion believes young riders need to enjoy the camp. Only by enjoying the training they’ll be able to use what they learn on their usual training routines.

While training is important, Valentino Rossi also wants them to interact with known riders. So, the VR46 Academy riders we see in MotoGP will also show up. This way the Yamaha VR46 Master Camp will be a memorable event for these young riders.

With more than ten years as a motorcycle journalist, i enjoy everything that has to do with two-wheels. I'm a fan of sport bikes and i prefer riding them on a racetrack, but give me a road filled with corners and good asphalt and i'll be there to have some fun!
