The Dutch team held their annual Pitstopdag event and revealed Loris Baz new Yamaha R1 at the team’s headquarters.
The return of the Ten Kate Racing outfit to the World Superbike championship was announced earlier this month, but the Dutch team will still need to wait a bit more to finally get back in racing.
At the team annual party called Pitstopdag, Ten Kate Racing showed their new bike and rider.
Loris Baz is a French rider that already has a lot of experience racing in World Superbike and MotoGP. As for the new bike, Ten Kate Racing will be using a YZF-R1 with support from Yamaha.
Team manager Ronald Ten Kate had high hopes to race in Assen, but the deal with Yamaha was done too late. The team won’t have the R1 ready to race in Imola. Loris Baz will need to wait until the Jerez round to measure himself against the other full-time riders in SBK.
But before that, Ten Kate Racing will travel to Marco Simoncelli Misano World Circuit to test the R1.
