KTM Factory Racing have just made a rally announcement that they are extremely pleased to be working with Soficat, Spain’s official Xerox distributor for the Dakar Rally. The partnership, that started prior to KTM’s hugely successful 2019 Dakar Rally campaign, will see Soficat support Laia Sanz and the KTM Factory Racing team throughout the 2019 season.

One of Spain’s leading companies in the field of printing and document management, Soficat is also the country’s first and only official Xerox partner – a testament to the experience and technical knowhow of the Barcelona-based business. Following a long-running partnership with KTM Factory Racing’s Laia Sanz, Soficat renewed their sponsorship deal with the 18-time World Champion in December 2018, becoming her main personal sponsor. The company also reached an agreement with KTM to carry out a study of Managed Print Services (MPS) in order to become a future supplier of the company.

The partnership was rewarded immediately at the 2019 Dakar Rally with Laia Sanz once again winning the women’s class and finishing in an excellent 11th place overall, whilst also completing her ninth Dakar from nine starts.

“We are proud and excited to have become part of the KTM family, a company with who we share values and goals. The Dakar Rally is one of the most difficult races in the world, and that challenging environment is what attracted us to be part of KTM’s Rally programme thanks to our partnership with Laia Sanz. Of course, to have been working with KTM for the 2019 race, which was so incredibly successful for the Austrian brand with their 18th consecutive win, and for Laia, who completed her ninth Dakar from nine starts with an outstanding 11th place finish, it makes us very proud. The whole racing world and beyond were focused on the Dakar Rally, and for Soficat this was incredibly important with the visibility it provided our brand. We look forward to the rally season going forward and a strong collaboration with the KTM Factory Racing Tea,” said Gerard Sicart, Soficat CEO. “We are really proud that a successful company like Soficat, who are not directly involved in motorsport, see KTM as a good platform to promote themselves. It means a lot to the KTM Factory Racing team that Soficat believe in the values we hold and in the sport of rally in general. It is also fantastic that Soficat have decided to continue their support of Laia and her personal project.
