Triumph UK and Triumph South Africa have departed from their ways and it is concluded that the British motorcycles will no longer be imported by Kawasaki Motorcycles SA (KMSA).
At the meantime, Triumph UK is in the midst of appointing a new SA imported within half a year. For the time being, the two will still cooperate.
According to the Brand Director of Triumph South Africa, Arnold Oliver, the two were in two ends of the spectrum when it came to new retail concepts of the UK, where it consisted of single, larger dealerships in cities instead of using a number of small dealers.
KMSA has been the distributor for SA for a long span of 22 years and it’s the world’s third-largest independent Triumph importer. The Triumph Thruxton is South Africa’s reigning Pirelli Bike of the Year.
