You can now drink Harley-Davidson bike parts in a bottle of gin!
On the bike, feel the bike and… drink the bike?
Definitely not a phrase you would hear any other day but we are quite serious about drinking the bike. Well, not entirely.
For all you biker heads out there, here is your chance to try out this latest gin that is taking your enthusiasm up a notch! German Uwe Ehinger is certainly one guy that you should know.
Enhinger owns a custom motorcycle shop in Hamburg, Germany called Ehinger Kraftrad and he has been given the moniker “The Archaeologist” because he fancies looking for used motorcycle relics to help build new bikes.
“I like to build reduced motorcycles,” says Ehinger. “Everything I do is a tribute to the past.”
Ehinger’s love for bikes has reached a whole new level as he has taken on a project by inserting rare original engine parts of three Harley Davidson models, which are the Flathead, Panhead and Knucklehead.
The 1939 Harley-Davidson Flathead includes actual camshafts discovered in the Mexican desert whereas the Knucklehead uses 1947 screw-nuts from Chile and the Panhead includes 1962 Panhead rocker arms from South Korea.
If you are wondering whether the gin would be contaminated, fear no more, because the bike parts are cleaned and sealed with tin alloy to make them food safe.
