GIVI at Round 4 of the 2017 Malaysian Cub Prix Championship

20th to 21st March 2017

  • GIVI set up merchandizing area to reach out to more motorcyclists.

PETRONAS CUBPRIX ROUND 4, TELUK INTAN PERAK - GIVI Asia Sdn Bhd

Round 3 of the 2017 Malaysian Petronas AAM Cub Prix in Kemaman, Terengganu was cancelled after a tragic event when Norizan Ismail succumbed to his injuries after crashing during the practice session. The decision was made after a meeting among the teams and riders to honour the passing of a comrade.

Round 4 continued at Teluk Intan, Perak. It was a humid day in the historic town but that didn’t perturb the spirit and energy of the crowd. The Cub Prix Championship is another one of GIVI’s promotion platforms besides MotoGP, as the races always attract throngs of racing enthusiasts every year.

GIVI had made their presence special by setting up a merchandizing area. This was apart of GIVI’s ongoing activity as a promise to enable motorcyclists to access GIVI’s items at special prices during the limited time of the event. It was also the opportunity for GIVI to extend their road safety philosophy to motorcyclists, especially the youngsters. GIVI is synonymous with safety, after all. GIVI hopes that they will inspire all motorcyclists to be safer riders, in sync with their passion for road safety.

As for the action on the track, Shahrul Yuzy’s team is finding ground, with more to learn along the way regarding their machines, with great hopes for the next rounds.

Wahid's lust for motorcycles was spurred on by his late-Dad's love for his Lambretta on which he courted, married his mother, and took baby Wahid riding on it. He has since worked in the motorcycle and automotive industry for many years, before taking up riding courses and testing many, many motorcycles since becoming a motojournalist. Wahid likes to see things differently. What can you say about a guy who sees a road safety message in AC/DC's "Highway to Hell."
