The Ducati Panigale V4 has added another major accolade to its name by winning the 2025 Good Design Award, one of the most respected and long-standing international honours celebrating excellence in global design.
This latest recognition further strengthens Ducati’s already impressive trophy cabinet and completes a remarkable trio of prestigious design awards for the Panigale V4. Alongside the 2025 iF Design Award and the 2025 Red Dot Award, the Good Design Award confirms the Italian superbike as one of the most celebrated motorcycle designs of the year.
A globally respected design recognition
Sponsored by the Chicago Athenaeum, Museum of Architecture and Design, together with the European Centre for Architecture, Art, Design and Urban Studies, the Good Design Award is among the most prestigious honours in the international design community.
Founded in Chicago in 1950 by legendary designers Eero Saarinen and Charles and Ray Eames, the award recognises outstanding achievements in design across multiple industries worldwide. For Ducati, this victory highlights the Panigale V4’s ability to combine aesthetic excellence with cutting-edge engineering, a balance that defines the brand’s philosophy.

Completing a trio of international design awards
The 2025 Good Design Award complements two other major accolades earned earlier this year which are the iF Design Award and the Red Dot Award. Both are globally recognised as benchmarks of innovation and design quality. Together, these three awards complete a significant “hat-trick” for the Panigale V4, reinforcing its reputation as a true design icon capable of delivering both visual drama and racetrack performance.
A synthesis of racing DNA, beauty and technology
Now in its seventh generation, the Panigale V4 represents the most advanced expression of Ducati’s racing DNA from Borgo Panigale. Its design evolves the integration between aerodynamics and styling, creating a seamless harmony between form and function.
The bike reinterprets the stylistic legacy of the legendary Ducati 916 in a modern context, blending historical inspiration with the technological expertise developed through Ducati’s success in the Superbike World Championship.
According to Andrea Ferraresi, Ducati Strategy and Centro Stile Director:
“The Good Design Award underlines our design philosophy: creating motorcycles capable of generating emotions through the integration of beauty and technology. Every line and every volume of the Panigale V4 comes from a precise vision where design and performance work in harmony. This recognition validates what it truly means to design a Ducati.”

A global benchmark for superbike design
With the 2025 Good Design Award, the Panigale V4 once again establishes itself as a benchmark in superbike design, a motorcycle that captures attention at first glance and fulfils its promise once in motion. By uniting Italian artistry with advanced engineering, Ducati continues to demonstrate that performance and beauty are not separate goals, but two sides of the same philosophy.
