The Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team has officially kicked off its 2026 MotoGP campaign with the unveiling of its new Ducati Desmosedici GP livery in Rome. The new design, titled “Black and Light”, symbolises the blend of the team’s heritage and its ambitions for the future.
The livery once again bears the unmistakable design signature of Aldo Drudi, with the iconic sun and moon symbols featured in gold on both sides of the motorcycle. The Desmosedici GP will be raced in the 2026 season by Fabio Di Giannantonio and Franco Morbidelli, continuing VR46’s strong Italian presence on the MotoGP grid.
The launch was led by Team Director Alessio Salucci and Team Manager Pablo Nieto, with Valentino Rossi present in his role as Team Owner.

Rossi acknowledged the growing competitiveness of MotoGP but expressed confidence heading into the team’s fifth season in the premier class stating, “This will be our fifth season in MotoGP, and we’re ready and optimistic. The championship is very competitive, and it’s tough to always be at the top. Our target is to continue developing, be competitive in all conditions, and perform better than last season.”
For Di Giannantonio, 2026 marks his third season with the VR46 team and his second year as a factory Ducati rider. “I expect to do great races like how we ended 2025,” he said. “I feel more experienced, more mature, and ready to understand what works best for me on the bike. The new livery is amazing, very VR style, aggressive and racing. Launching it here in Rome, my home city, makes it even more special.”
Morbidelli, meanwhile, enters his second season with the team, confident that continuity will pay dividends. “We have one more year of experience together, and that will help speed up many processes during a race weekend. There are things to improve from last year, but we’re working on them together. The bike looks beautiful, the yellow and black is a true racing combination,” he explained.

Rossi also explained the thinking behind the updated colour scheme, which blends VR46’s signature yellow with a more aggressive black base.
“This is already our third season working with Aldo Drudi. We wanted to change while keeping our identity. Yellow remains our colour, but black brings a more racing feel and connects us back to our classic look. The bikes are beautiful, now we just need to be fast,” he said.
With a refreshed livery, a stable rider line-up, and growing experience as a Ducati satellite team, the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team heads into 2026 determined to turn consistency into stronger results as it continues to establish itself among MotoGP’s leading outfits.
