China’s CFMoto has made waves at the 82nd annual EICMA motorcycle show in Milan, Italy, by unveiling its most ambitious and powerful motorcycle yet,  the CFMoto V4SR-RR. The new machine stands at the very top of the company’s SR sportsbike lineup, which currently includes the 250SR, 250SR Lite, 450SR, 500SR Voom, and the famous 675SR-R, all available in Malaysia.

At the heart of the V4SR-RR lies a 997 cc V-four engine, capable of producing over 210 horsepower, positioning it alongside established superbike titans from Europe and Japan. The engine’s crankshaft power output exceeds 157 kW, and when paired with a curb weight of under 200 kg, it achieves a staggering power-to-weight ratio of 0.86, meaning less than 1 kg per horsepower. This combination not only places the V4SR-RR among the most powerful production motorcycles ever built but also makes it a potential game-changer in the superbike arena.

From a design and engineering perspective, the V4SR-RR serves as a technological manifesto for CFMoto’s future direction. The new-generation 90° V4 engine delivers a broad and linear power curve, ensuring smooth, controlled acceleration on both road and track. Every component has been purposefully engineered for precise throttle response, maximum control, and high-speed stability.

V4SR-RR

To further enhance aerodynamics, the V4SR-RR features servo-controlled front winglets that automatically adjust to deliver optimal downforce. Suspension duties are handled by a semi-active electronically controlled system, while Akrapovic provides the high-performance exhaust setup, underscoring the model’s race-ready credentials.

Visually, the V4SR-RR exudes aggression and purpose, with sharp aerodynamic lines and a futuristic aesthetic that celebrates CFMoto’s growing technical prowess. The electronics suite promises cutting-edge rider aids for optimal power delivery, traction, and safety, bringing it in line with the most advanced superbikes on the market today.

V4SR-RR

While CFMoto has yet to confirm whether the V4SR-RR will enter production, the company has emphasized that this model serves as an advanced development platform for future high-performance motorcycles.

With its mix of race-bred technology, bold design, and sheer power, the CFMoto V4SR-RR signals a new era for the Chinese manufacturer, one where it confidently challenges the dominance of long-established European and Japanese superbike makers.
