The 2025 España Superbike Championship (ESBK) enters its crucial Round 5 out of seven this weekend, with action set to unfold at the Circuito de Navarra. Located in northern Spain, the technical 4.313-kilometre track features 17 corners in total, comprising 11 right-handers and six left-handers, making it a true test of skill, consistency, and race craft.
Strong Momentum from Round 4
Malaysian rider Qabil Irfan heads into Navarra in high spirits after a stellar performance in Round 4, which was also held at the same circuit. He stormed to victory in Race 1 before securing fourth place in Race 2, results that further solidified his confidence and rhythm for the remainder of the season.
To date, Qabil has collected four race wins and three runner-up finishes, placing him at the top of the overall standings. He currently enjoys a commanding 49-point lead over his nearest rival, Spain’s Izan Rodriguez, setting him up as the championship favourite with just three rounds left to race.
Eyes on the Title
With momentum firmly on his side, Qabil remains focused on maintaining consistency and extending his advantage in the championship battle. His proven pace at Navarra gives him a strong platform to aim for another top result, as he inches closer to the possibility of securing the ESBK crown for 2025.
