After a six-year hiatus, the X-Trial FIM des Nations made a triumphant return in 2025. This time, Spain wasted no time in reclaiming its dominance. Spearheaded by the legendary Toni Bou and teammate Jaime Busto, the Spanish duo delivered a commanding performance in Nice, France, securing yet another title in the prestigious indoor trials event.

Held at the iconic Palais Nikaïa, the evening began with high anticipation as teams from around the world lined up for their shot at the crown. Spain, the defending champions from 2019, quickly established themselves as the team to beat. Bou and Busto demonstrated remarkable coordination and technical brilliance from the opening rounds, topping the leaderboard and booking their spot in the final.

Spain faced strong competition from France’s Benoit Bincaz and Hugo Dufrese, and Italy’s Matteo Grattarola and Francesco Tilti. Despite the pressure, the Spanish team stayed composed throughout the event. In the decisive moments, their experience and teamwork gave them the winning edge.

The victory marks Toni Bou’s ninth career win at the X-Trial of Nations, adding to his already unparalleled résumé that includes 37 world titles and 19 outdoor team wins. At 38, Bou continues to set the gold standard in the sport.

“I’m very happy to win this title again, especially after so many years without this event being held,” said Bou post-event. “Jaime and I worked hard as a team from the start. We managed to stay calm in the decisive moments. It was a special night in an incredible venue, with a spectacular crowd. This victory is very special, and we are very proud of the work we have done.”

With this latest triumph, Spain reinforces its position as the powerhouse of trial riding. Toni Bou further cements his legacy as the greatest of all time in the discipline. The return of the X-Trial of Nations reignites national rivalries and celebrates the incredible skill, balance, and mental strength that define the sport.
