With a pool of over 40 applicants, a formidable selection of 24 riders has been finalized to kick off the championship’s first round at Imola from June 14th to 16th.
Among the competitors, one name stands out as a trailblazer in the sport – Ana Carrasco. Carrasco made history as the first woman to clinch a road racing motorcycle world championship in a mixed category, specifically the World Supersport 300 in 2018. Now, she’s gearing up to showcase her talent once again, racing for Evan Bros. Yamaha.
Each rider will tackle the challenges on identical bikes, all mounted on the Yamaha YZF-R7. However, the teams behind the riders vary, adding an extra layer of intrigue to the competition.
The championship promises a thrilling six-round series, including visits to exciting new circuits like the Balaton Park Circuit in Hungary. From the seasoned veterans to the rising stars, the roster is packed with talent and diversity, ensuring exhilarating races throughout the season.
