The Repsol Honda Team celebrated 30 years with Honda HRC at Warner Music Station in Madrid. On February 13, Joan Mir and Luca Marini revealed the 2024 RC213V machines. These striking bikes promise continued success in the MotoGP World Championship, featuring a captivating new livery.

A Legacy of Triumphs

Repsol and Honda HRC collaborate for three decades in two-wheeled motorsports. They’ve earned 15 World Championships, produced six different World Champions, achieved 183 premier class victories, 455 podiums, and secured nine Triple Crowns. This partnership sets the standard for excellence in motorcycle racing.

Renewable Fuels: Pioneering a New Era

In 2024, Repsol Honda Team and Honda HRC introduce renewable fuels in MotoGP. This forward-thinking approach maintains performance and aligns with global sustainability efforts.

Joan Mir’s Second Season

Joan Mir, the 2020 MotoGP World Champion, enters his second season with the Repsol Honda Team. Having spent 2023 learning and adapting, Mir is poised for significant improvements in 2024. Working alongside Santi Hernandez, Mir’s ambition for stronger results is underpinned by the impressive work and development undertaken by HRC’s engineers during the off-season.

Luca Marini’s Progress

On the other side of the garage, Luca Marini embarks on his second season with the Repsol Honda Team. Joining the premier class in 2021 after a successful stint in Moto2, Marini has demonstrated clear progress in his development as a Grand Prix rider. The 26-year-old Italian, wearing the Repsol Honda colours, is eager to build on his two Grand Prix podiums, two pole positions, and four Sprint podiums from his previous MotoGP seasons.

2024 Honda RC213V: Upgrades for Success

The 2024 Repsol Honda Team RC213V isn’t just visually striking. It features major upgrades, including revised aerodynamics and improvements to the engine and chassis. Intense off-season research and development have crafted a motorcycle ready to close the gap and compete at the forefront of MotoGP.

Looking Ahead

Tetsuhiro Kuwata, HRC General Manager, and Alberto Puig, Repsol Honda Team Manager, emphasize the season’s significance. The team heads to Lusail International Circuit for the final pre-season test on February 19 to 20. A 21-race global calendar awaits, ending in Valencia on November 17.

The Repsol Honda Team marks 30 years, revealing the 2024 RC213V machines. Anticipation rises for another season of speed, skill, and triumph in the MotoGP world. With a legacy of success and a dedication to innovation, the team is poised to make history in motorcycle racing once more.
