Tragedy Strikes as Promising Young Rider Haruki Noguchi Passes Away at 22

In a poignant and heartrending twist of fate, the motorcycling community mourns the untimely loss of 22-year-old talent, Haruki Noguchi. Heartbreakingly, in the recent fourth round of the FIM Asia Road Championship at the Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit, a profoundly tragic incident unfolded.
During the fourth lap of the Asia Superbike 1000cc race at Turn 10, Haruki sustained critical injuries, casting a profound shadow of sorrow. Swift medical care was administered at the circuit’s Medical Centre, followed by his transfer to a local hospital.
Nevertheless, despite about three days of unwavering medical efforts at Nusa Tenggara Barat Public Hospital, Haruki’s injuries proved insurmountable. Tragically, on August 16, he succumbed to his injuries, casting a profound sorrow over us all.
Haruki, a shining star in Japan’s road racing scene, captured attention with his achievements. Notably, he secured victory in the Superstock 600 category of the All Japan Road Racing Championships in 2021. Moreover, his prowess earned him a second-place finish in the ARRC 1000cc Superbike category last year, marked by race wins. Additionally, this year, he stood on the Suzuka 8 Hour podium with SDG Racing.
Amidst this deeply poignant time, our heartfelt sentiments extend to not only Haruki Noguchi’s beloved family and friends but also encompass the entirety of the close-knit racing community. In the midst of sorrow, we stand united in honoring his memory and cherishing the impact he made.
