Hong Leong Yamaha Motor (HLYM) has introduced a special model for the Malaysian market, known as the Yamaha 135LC FI. The model, which was first introduced in 2006, is offered at a recommended retail price excluding registration and insurance of RM7,798 for standard colours and RM8,198 for Special Edition.
Hong Leong Industries Bhd Managing Director, Datuk Dr Jim Khor, said the new model developed jointly by HLYM and Yamaha Motor Co Ltd specifically for the Malaysian market is expected to meet the needs of motorcycle enthusiasts in the country.
“This model has been designed and developed not only to meet the needs of the majority of Malaysian riders for their daily commute but also proven to be a great power on the road,” he said during the launch of the Yamaha 135LC FI.
The enhanced Yamaha 135LC FI uses the new 135cc EU4 Automatic Clutch Fuel Injection engine, a machine with enhanced performance for smooth acceleration.
Riders can also enjoy better riding pleasure and smoother rides through a lighter redesigned body frame with enhanced aerodynamic aspects.
As an enhanced model from a safety aspect, this model is now equipped with rear disc brakes with swing arms designed for excellent braking power.
Among other aspects offered by this new model include LED headlights, pilot lights and new LED taillights which see the Yamaha 135LC FI now look more stylish.
The moped model now also comes with a new Digital Speedometer that provides more ride information than the previous model.
The new Yamaha 135LC FI also features a larger 4.6 -litre fuel tank to provide a longer travel distance with each tank full.
The new Yamaha 135LC FI comes in four colours namely Ruby Red, Crystal Cyan, Midnight Star and Desert Storm Special Edition which comes with the Yamaha Premium Basket. The Yamaha Premium Basket specially designed for the Special Edition variant, developed exclusively for Malaysian riders, consists of parts open and close to protect personal items from getting wet on a rainy day, in addition to having a USB port for charging electronic devices.
