It is during the middle of the year when the real racers are focusing on training and preparing for the upcoming seasons. This is also the “golden” moment for major Japanese brands to launch new product lines in order to serve the needs of the riders on track.

Following the introduction of the new generation Honda CRF450R, top manufacturer Kawasaki has quickly introduced a completely new version of the KX450 to the professionals. Not only equipped with updates in the engine but the electronic equipment also has been upgraded and become more impressive than ever!

DESIGN

Thanks to the thick design, eye-catching appearance and durability and flexibility of the engine, the Kawasaki KX450 (2022) has partly won the trust, as well as firmly grasped special advantages in the hearts of Motocross riders.

It is essentially an off-road vehicle. So, the KX450 (2022) has some major aspects to its exterior. It is 2.195 x 820 x 1,265 in size (L x Width x Height | Unit: Mm). The base height is 1,485mm, whereas the ground clearance is 340mm and seat height is 955mm.

Not to mention, in the 2022 version, KX450 has made quite a big difference in design, especially with its clutch springs. It refines the suction and discharge time. The bike is then complete with a new combustion chamber with a genuine piston set. Most importantly, the cylinder part is plated with a new coating to maximize the function and minimizing friction.

EQUIPMENT

The Kawasaki KX450 (2022) series retains the equipment of the basic leg set. With the inverted front fork, you can customize the compression and elasticity to your liking. Even the rear suspension system with Pro-Link Uni-Trak is also very easy to adjust.

In addition to that, the model is also equipped with additional safety support accessories for the vehicle. The disc brakes at both front and rear are suitable for standard Motocross rims (Size: 21-19).

ENGINE

Moreover, the 2022 version of KX450 utilises a 4-stroke, single-cylinder engine block. The capacity is said to be at 449cc, mated to a 5-speed gearbox and 12.5:1 compression ratio.

Unfortunately, Kawasaki currently has not made any announcements about the official power and price of this model. So, stay calm and wait for the latest information at iMotorbike!
