Husqvarna Svartpilen 250, Svartpilen 401 and Vitpilen 401 are now available in Malaysia! Priced at RM 24,800 RM 29,800!
Premium Swedish motorcycle brand, Husqvarna Motorcycles is now officially back in Malaysia! Husqvarna Motorcycles’ new importer Eurotech Wheel Distribution Sdn. Bhd just launched a fleet of bikes for the Malaysian market yesterday. The models that get the most attention are the Husqvarna Svartpilen 250, Svartpilen 401 and Vitpilen 401. The scrambler Svartpilen range and cafe racer Vitpilen range fall in line with the Swedish heritage of Husqvarna and folks, they look stunning!
Husqvarna Svartpilen 250
Starting with the Husqvarna Svartpilen 250, the lightweight 250cc machine with its upright riding position and dual-purpose tyres is a perfect fit for both city ride and canyon runs. Powered by a liquid-cooled 248.8cc single-cylinder engine, mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox, the Svartpilen 250 pushes 23kW at 9,000 rpm and a peak torque of 24 Nm @ 7,500 rpm.
Braking is done via a ByBre four-piston calliper with 320mm front disc up front and a ByBre single-piston calliper with 230mm disc at the rear. Suspension duties are taken care of by WP Apex 43mm front fork and WP Apex rear monoshock.
Speaking of the electronics, the Svartpilen 250 gets premium full LED lighting, digital LCD instrument cluster and Bosch 9.1MB dual-channel ABS. You might find the specifications falling in closely with the KTM 250 Duke, this is because KTM bought over Husqvarna back in 2013, therefore, Husqvarna’s current fleet of bikes share ample amount of mechanical components with the bikes from its parent brand, KTM.
Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 and Husqvarna Vitpilen 401
Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 and Husqvarna Vitpilen 401 are very similar in nature. From the design to mechanical components, they are both alike. Just like the Husqvarna Svartpilen 250, the Svartpilen 401 is a scrambler, therefore, it comes equipped with dual-purpose tyres and a high up handlebar. On the other hand, Vitpilen 401 is more of a Cafe racer meant for road use, therefore, it comes equipped with street tyres, a lowdown handlebar and rear set footpegs for forward-leaning riding.
Both the Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 and Vitpilen 401 are powered by a liquid-cooled 373cc single-cylinder engine. Mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox with a slipper clutch, both the Svartpilen 401 and Vitpilen 401 push 32 kW (44 hp) @ 9.000 rpm and a peak torque of 37 Nm @ 7.000 rpm.
In the case of suspension, WP Apex USD 43mm front fork and WP Apex Monoshock take care of suspension duties. Braking is done via a 4 piston calliper with 320mm disc up front and a single-piston calliper with 320mm disc at the rear.
Moving on to electronics, the Svartpilen 401 and Vitpilen 401 both feature; LCD instrument panel, full LED lighting, Bosch 9.1MB Dual-channel ABS and Bosch EMS.
