KYMCO officially launches four new 2021 models: 2021 KYMCO DT X360 dual-sport scooter, KYMCO CV3 three-wheeled scooter, KRV compact sport scooter and F9 electric scooter.

Earlier this months we took a look at KYMCO’s Premier Mundial and we speculated KYMCO would launch a dual-sport scooter within this month. Well, folks, the wait is over, KYMCO just launched not just one but four new scooter models for 2021. Besides the KYMCO DR X360 dual-sport scooter, the Taiwanese motorcycle manufacturer showcased 3 other models, KYMCO CV3 three-wheeled scooter, KRV compact sport scooter and F9 electric scooter.

Watch KYMCO’s Digital World Premier here:

KYMCO DT X360

Starting with our favourite, the KYMCO DT X360, the adventure scooter is designed from the bottom up to handle both smooth asphalt as well as rough terrain. The upright riding position, adventure-oriented tires wrapping around lightweight aluminium alloy wheels as well as the raised up front mudguard characterize KYMCO’s new dual-purpose scooter. To go hand in hand, the wide handlebar design together with the high up seat ensures visibility, mobility and control in rough terrains.

The DT X360 is powered by a 320.6 OHC, 4 stroke, liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine and makes 28.42 HP @ 7,250 rpm and a 30 Nm of peak torque @ 5,750 rpm. Suspension duties are taken care of by conventional telescopic front fork and dual shock at the rear.

As for the chassis, this adventure scooter comes equipped with a 14-inch tire up front and 13-inch tire at the rear wrapped around by a pair of dual-purpose tires.

Being an adventurer, the fuel tank is 12.5l in size and the scooter packs an under-seat storage compartment. In the case of the electronic package, the all-new KYMCO DT X360 comes equipped with traction control, keyless ignition, LED lighting and full colour LED dashboard as standard.

KYMCO F9

Yes, we know, the design of the KYMCO F9 is just mindblowing. It sort of has the Italjet Dragster vibe going on and we love it. Fun fact, the KYMCO F9 is the world’s first electric motorcycle equipped with a two-speed automatic transmission.

The KTMCO F9 electric scooter is powered by a 9.4 kW brushless DC motor which produces a maximum torque of 30 Nm. The motor is backed up by a 96V / 40Ah Lithium-ion battery that weighs 17kgs. Mated to a two-speed automatic transmission, the F9 is capable of sprinting from 0-50km/h in under 3 seconds and capable of reaching a top speed of 130 km/h.  KYMCO F9 has a range of 120 km and comes with fast charging which takes 2 hours to fully charge.

KYMCO CV3

The third model, KYMCO CV3 is essentially the production model of the KYMCO AK 550 based three-wheeled scooter concept which was showcased during ECIMA 2018. Similar to the Yamaha Tricity, KYMCO CV3 uses four-fork tilt front axel with 13-inch wheels up front and 15-inch wheels at the rear.

The  CV3 is powered by a Euro 5 compliant 550cc parallel-twin engine (from the KYMCO AK 550 maxiscooter) which produces 51.6hp @ 7,500 rpm and 53 Nm of peak torque at 5,750 rpm.

Similar to the KYMCO AK 550, the CV3 features ABS, traction control, LED lighting and keyless. Aside from this, the model receives KYMCO’s Power Transmission Matrix (PTM) which takes charge of weight balance for better handling.

KYMCO KRV

KYMCO KRV is the Taiwanese manufacturer’s latest sport scooter model. Powered by a 175 cc OHC, 4 stroke, liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine; KRV pushes 16.5 hp @ 7,500 rpm and 15.68 Nm of peak torque @ 6,000rpm. KYMCO KRV features a 7.2 l fuel tank and comes equipped with disc brakes on both ends, ABS, traction control, USB charger, LCD instrument cluster and full LED lighting.
