The latest teaser from Wuyang-Honda China hints the arrival of a new Honda AT (Automatic) scooter!
Yesterday, Boon Siew Honda launched the 2020 Honda Vario 150 for Malaysia, which is one of the four AT (Automatic) scooters offered here in Malaysia currently.
Today we have another AT scooter news for you guys. The latest teaser from Wuyang-Honda hints the arrival of a new Honda AT (Automatic) scooter. However, from the teaser, it’s very hard to pinpoint whether this model would be an all-new AT scooter range or an updated version of the Honda AT scooter that’s already available in China.
The teaser features the tagline “What’s New about X-treme?” with the “N” and “X” highlighted in bold. Currently, Wuyang-Honda in China offers only two AT scooter variants; the PCX and RX125 Fi and the letters “N” and “X” from the teaser do not go along with any of them. Given this, the upcoming scooter might be an all-new AT scooter model for China. Some reports suggest this teaser could be for the addition of an updated Honda Airblade or Vario model with a different name for the Chinese market.
On the other hand, judging from the Chinese wording ” New Concept Design”, it sounds like a teaser for an incoming update for an existing model. If that’s the case, the incoming scooter would be an updated model of the PCX or the RX125 Fi.
Is it relevant to us?
Is it relevant to us here in Malaysia? Well if the scooter ends up being an updated Airblade or the Chinese RX125 Fi, it wouldn’t relevant to us as we don’t get any of these models here. But, if it ends up being an updated Vario, PCX or an all-new AT scooter model, it would be something that’s related and relevant to us.
However, the exciting part about this teaser is the design of the AT scooter in the preview. The sharp, modern and premium look of the AT scooter hints us Honda’s progress in the AT scooter segment and it’s something that most of us want to see.
