Have you ever seen a motorcycle which has the design cues of a letter? Check out this Electric motorcycle concept inspired by the letter “Z”!
The Z electric motorcycle concept was designed by California based designer Joseph Robinson. He usually creates automotive concepts of known brands in his free time. However, this is the very first concept which isn’t related to any brands.
The Z Motorcycle
To begin with, the entire motorcycle is based on the letter Z, from the headlamp to the taillamps. As stated in Joseph Robinson’s online portfolio, the purpose of going with electric powertrain is to make a ride which is thrilling. The smooth instantaneous power makes the Z ideal for city rides, and canyon runs.
Furthermore, with the use of excellent design principles, the Z motorcycle concept overcomes the challenges of fitting the battery pack within the chassis. On top of this, the removable 30kwh battery makes the bike more practical.
The Z shape is not just a design quirk; the “Z” graphic on the bike is also a screen which displays charging status and also acts as a tachometer and turning indicators.
In the case of the suspension, the front fork houses a strut tower within the structure. With the foldable handlebars linked to the front fork steer the bike. As for the back, spring strut with damping pads takes care of the business.
Moving along the motor housing, the bike features a foldable footpeg and belt-driven rotors with “compression brakes”.
Though this electric motorcycle is still in the concept design stage we wish to see this concept coming to life someday soon!
