ARCH Motorcycle has just announced its latest introduction- the new ARCH KRGT-1. The bike is an evolution of the bespoke production motorcycle that took over the performance cruiser category. With its simplistic and elegant design, the all-new KRGT-1 comes with more than 20 major changes, including 150 newly designed and manufactured components. The bike is speculated to make its appearance in next week’s EICMA 2019.

In case you did not know, co-founders Gard Hollinger and Keanu Reeves worked together to make ARCH Motorcycle int boutique manufacturer. It produces bespoke production motorcycles in its Los Angeles area factory. Their first production model was the KRGT-1.

The updated ARCH KRGT-1 has a redesigned bodywork, upgraded suspension, ergonomic enhancements, updated braking components and safety features.

“We originally designed the KRGT-1 to realize the potential and push the boundaries of what an American V-twin motorcycle could offer,” says ARCH Motorcycle co-founder Gard Hollinger as quoted from ARCH Motorcycles.

“Our new KRGT-1 stays true to the original objective while further developing and refining the motorcycle’s design and performance elements to enhance the overall riding experience.”

The ARCH KRGT-1 comes with an EPA/CARB-certified 124ci S&S/ARCH engine with an in-house-designed downdraught induction system and proprietary K&N Engineering air filter. ARCH 2-into-1 stainless steel header system and Yoshimura carbon fibre muffler manage the bike’s exhaust flow. It is able to deliver a low-end torque from the first twist of the throttle.

“The new KRGT-1 delivers on ARCH Motorcycle’s ambition: a beautiful and extraordinary machine that handles like no other motorcycle. Through the curves, down the straights, planted, confident, comfortable, it’s an unsurpassed riding experience,” says ARCH Motorcycle co-founder Keanu Reeves.

“The focus on fit and finish, the detail, the execution, the exceptional quality. How the bike is made defines ARCH.”

The new billet aluminium swingarm is very much race-inspired. It improves rigidity and reduces unsprung weight in order to provide better handling. The bike features a unique Öhlins fully adjustable shock absorber. It has larger diameter 48mm Öhlins front forks that have NIX technology.

The bike also comes with an anti-lock braking system (ABS). The Bosch-developed ABS improves braking performance, stability and safety. The KRGT-1 has updated hand and foot controls, including its new Magura clutch and front brake assemblies. The upgrades provide for better performance, comfort and tactility.
