In case you missed out, Yamaha Motor Philippines has just released teasers of a new sports bike on their official social media page and this has definitely garnered the attention of many. There are speculations that the Yamaha PH will be bringing a newer Yamaha YZF-R3 to the table. The appearance and styling of the model certainly resemble the Yamaha YZR-M1 MotoGP race bikes ridden by the infamous Valentino Rossi and Maverick Viñales. YZF-R3 is based on a lightweight high-tensile steel tube frame to churn out a near 50/50 front and rear weight distribution that would result in a lower fuel tank and handlebar position. It comes with a modern 37 mm KYB upside-down front forks and a 298 mm disc in front and a 220 mm disc for the rear brake. It may also be equipped with an anti-lock brake system (ABS). The bike is expected to feature a 321cc liquid cooled engine that is capable of delivering 41.5Ps at 10,750 rpm and 29.6 Nm of torque. It must be noted that the revised engine comes with a compression ratio of 11:2:1.
