This isn’t exactly the first time Husqvarna decided to create an aerodynamic version of one of its naked models, and the Vitpilen 401 was already given the Aero concept treatment before. But Husqvarna’s powerful and retro-inspired Vitpilen 701 had yet to get the same type of attention, and that happened at the recent EICMA Milan motorcycle show.
The Vitpilen 701 Aero is, in its essence, a regular Vitpilen, just with the added aerodynamic protection given by the sublime looking front cowl derived from racing machines of the old days.
The café racer style fits neatly in the overall design of this Husky, and the blue paint makes the bike stand out from the crowd. Husqvarna says the riding position had to be slightly changed because of the front fairing and the repositioning of the instrument panel.
For the moment there’s no word if Husqvarna will be releasing an Aero kit for the Vitpilen 701, but if they decide to do it, we’re guessing that a lot of Vitpilen owners will line up at the brand’s dealerships to buy one!
