Famous for their two iconic road-trips “The Long Way Round” and “The Long Way Down”, and also for their acting careers and TV appearances, Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman will soon be back on the road to set off into another amazing adventure!
Both were present at the presentation of McGregor’s new movie Christopher Robin, and Boorman used his official Twitter account to thank McGregor for the moment and, at the same time, wrote “Can’t wait for #longwayup”.
That hashtag sparked immediate reactions of fans about the possibility of a new road-trip dubbed “The Long Way Up”, and since then Charley Boorman has confirmed on Twitter that that trip will definitely happen soon.
It’s still unknown where The Long Way Up adventure starts and finishes.
In 2004, Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman did The Long Way Round mounted on BMW R1150GS bikes, an adventure that started in London and ended in New York, after crossing Europe, Russia, Siberia and Canada. In 2007 they decided to get back on the adventure roads and set off on The Long Way Down trip from Scotland to Cape Town, South Africa, this time though, the duo used BMW R1200GS Adventure bikes.
It will also be important to know which bikes McGregor and Boorman will use. Since 2007 both have been working on different things, and have been brand ambassadors for Moto Guzzi and Triumph, respectively.
Whenever this Long Way Up happens, it will surely be another epic adventure!
