Swedish brand Husqvarna Motorcycls has unveiled its latest 2019 FS450 Supermoto bike based on the FC 450 MXer. According to the firm, the new bike “offers both professional and amateur competitors a machine that features the highest levels of technology available in the supermoto segment today”.
The bike comes with a redesigned chassis and engine platform and is focused on improving handling and usability of power. The MY19 FS450 sits under the lightweight category and its quality performance is undeniable.
The new bike dons a blue frame with increased rigidity for optimum straight-line stability. Also, the composite carbon fiber subframe design gets a reduced weight of 0.6 lb. Apart from that, the chain adjustment slot length has increased by 5mm.
It also features an updated setting on the WP AER 48 forks. The WP DCC shock has a new piston and updated setting. The FS450 greets the ground with Alpina spoked wheels with Bridgestone slick tires. The traction and launch control has also received updates alongside easier maintenance sue to the new throttle cable routing.
The FS450 functions with a redesigned cylinder head reducing the engine’s weight by 1 lb. The single-cylinder SOHC powerplant is capable of producing an output of 63 hp.
The new FS 450 model will be available at an authorized Husqvarna Motorcycles dealer this coming September.
