Can you imagine if someone steals your beloved bike? That’s something every motorcycle owner hates to even think about, but when something like that happens, you try to recover you bike by any means necessary.
After a week searching for the bike without any good news you start to wonder if you’ll ever see her again, and after some more weeks, you finally come to accept the fact that you won’t see the bike again. But sometimes, you’re lucky and your bike is recovered by the police.
That’s the case of Kamron Golbaf, an American from the state of California, that saw his 1998 Honda CR80 being returned to him after 17 years missing!
It all dates back to 2001, when Kamron was just 11 years old, and his motocross ride was stolen never to be seen again until someone saw the Honda CR80 for sale in Craiglist. According to Fox News, the deal went well until the person that bought the bike on Craiglist tried to register her in the California Department of Motorized Vehicles, only to be informed that there was no previous register of this bike.
The authorities, namely the California Highway Patrol (CHP), opened an investigation to find out what was the problem with this little Honda, and CHP eventually found that the bike was reported stolen in 2001, tracing its origins back to the original owner Kamron Golbaf.
So, after 17 years without the bike, Kamron was surprised to see the Honda CR80 back in his possession when the CHP went to his house to return the bike.
