Ducati motorcycles stand for more than just riding. They make a statement of style and power. The all-new Ducati Hypermotard 698 Mono was recently launched in Malaysia. It comes in two exciting versions—the standard and RVE.

Power and Performance of the Hypermotard 698 Mono

The Ducati Hypermotard 698 Mono boasts a 659-cc Superquadro Mono engine. It delivers 77.5 hp at 9,750 rpm and 64 Nm of torque at 8,000 rpm. The engine uses desmodromic valve actuation and is considered one of the most advanced single-cylinder road engines. The motorcycle also features a 6-speed gearbox and chain drive.

Built for Handling

The bike’s tubular steel Trellis frame ensures strength and agility. At the front, it features a 45 mm Marzocchi fully adjustable fork. The rear has a fully adjustable monoshock and an aluminium double-sided swingarm. These components provide excellent stability and handling.

The 17-inch alloy wheels, wrapped in Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV tires, enhance grip and control. For braking, it uses a 330 mm front disc and a 245 mm rear disc with Bosch Cornering ABS.

Dimensions and Weight

The Ducati Hypermotard 698 Mono is lightweight, weighing just 151 kg. Its seat height is 904 mm, but you can lower it to 889 mm with an accessory. The wheelbase is 1,443 mm, and the bike carries a 12-litre fuel tank, perfect for longer rides.

Advanced Technology

This Ducati is packed with modern features:

  • Full LED lighting for clear visibility.
  • A 3.8-inch LCD display with Improved Black Nematic (IBN) technology.
  • Ducati Multimedia System for easy connectivity.
  • Riding Modes include Sport, Road, Urban, and Wet for different road conditions.

The bike has Ducati Traction Control, Wheelie Control, and Engine Brake Control for safety. The RVE variant also features unique graphics and Ducati Quick Shift Up/Down EVO.

Ducati’s New Dealership in Johor Bahru

Ducati has also expanded its presence in Malaysia. A new Ducati dealership opened in Johor Bahru alongside the Hypermotard launch. The outlet covers 2,418 sq ft and showcases 16 Ducati bikes. It has a dedicated section for Ducati Apparel and a service centre with four bays. This facility can handle 200 bikes each month.

The Ducati Hypermotard 698 Mono is now available at authorised showrooms. It’s not just a bike—it’s a bold statement on the road.
