Australia’s electric motorcycle scene is gaining serious momentum. At the heart of it is Savic Motorcycles, a Melbourne-based startup rewriting the rules of two-wheel performance. The company is ramping up production of its C-Series flagship. All while assembling a heavyweight leadership team to propel its global expansion.

A New Benchmark in Australian Motorcycling

Launched to customers earlier this year, the C-Series is already a head-turner on Aussie roads. The bike is designed to combine raw muscle with smart technology. It packs a staggering 200Nm of instant torque, delivering blistering acceleration that rivals traditional superbikes. Riders report a smooth yet thrilling ride, thanks to chassis dynamics that balance agility and stability.

Underneath the sleek bodywork lies an edge-computing system that learns from each rider’s style. With every journey, the C-Series fine-tunes throttle response, suspension feel, and overall comfort. It creates a riding experience that feels increasingly personal. Add in a broad range of customisation options, from performance tweaks to bespoke styling, and Savic has crafted a machine that blurs the line between custom build and production bike.

A Leadership Dream Team

Driving this surge is founder and CEO Dennis Savic, who has recruited some of the best minds in tech, finance, and automotive to scale the business:

  • Marc Alexander (CTO) – tech entrepreneur behind Applied EV and smart-lighting brand LIFX
  • Mark Raumer (CFO) – former Allianz Australia finance chief
  • Chris Gaspardis (COO) – manufacturing veteran from PACCAR
  • Victoria Brown (Chief Growth Officer) – luxury marketing expert with McLaren and Rolls-Royce pedigree
  • Logan Kube (CIO) – EV investment strategist from the UK’s Rapid Charging Fund

They join early key players Sasa Savic (software engineering) and Dave Hendroff (design), whose work underpins the bike’s smart systems and striking looks.

Scaling Up and Looking Outward

Production is accelerating at Savic’s West Melbourne factory, where a new assembly line and specialised tooling support a growing order book of 230 C-Series bikes. Plans for a global powertrain assembly hub in China are already in motion. This is a key step in taking the Australian-built motorcycle to international markets.

Supporting the executive team is a non-executive board stacked with industry heavyweights. Chair Nicholas Adamo, a Deloitte and EY alumnus and private racetrack owner, brings a mix of financial acumen and motorsport passion. Other members include:

  • Kel Kearns, a former Ford veteran now developing EV batteries for Daimler and Isuzu
  • Justin Hocevar, with leadership roles at Renault, MINI, Jaguar, and INEOS Automotive
  • Chris Ball, international sales director at renewable energy giant TGOOD Global

Their combined expertise in EV manufacturing, renewable energy, and global automotive sales provides the strategic backbone for Savic’s expansion.

From Local Hero to Global Challenger

What began as a bold vision in Melbourne is fast evolving into a world-class electric motorcycle brand. With the C-Series winning over riders and critics alike, Savic Motorcycles stands poised to challenge established players on the global stage. If early success is any indication, Australia’s first high-performance e-motorcycle could soon become the next cult icon in the electrified future of motorcycling.
