Can-Am, a legendary name under BRP Inc., has officially entered the Indonesian electric motorcycle market with the launch of two all-new models — the Can-Am Pulse and Can-Am Origin 2025. This milestone marks a bold move by Sea-Oy Can-Am Indonesia, the brand’s official distributor in the country. It accelerates efforts to redefine two-wheeled mobility through electric innovation.

The launch, held on May 5, is not just about adding new products to the lineup. It’s about reshaping how Indonesians commute, explore, and engage with their environment.

A Leap Toward Premium Electric Mobility

According to Ade Christian, Managing Director of Sea-Oy Can-Am Indonesia, the introduction of the Pulse and Origin reflects the company’s commitment to building a class-leading electric vehicle ecosystem in Indonesia.

“We are proud to bring Can-Am Pulse and Origin 2025 to Indonesia. These are not just electric motorcycles — they represent a new lifestyle and a serious commitment to sustainable, high-performance mobility,” said Christian in an official statement.

The two models cater to both urban riders and off-road adventurers, proving that electric power doesn’t mean compromising performance.

Can-Am launches its first electric motorcycles — Pulse and Origin 2025 — in Indonesia, offering high performance, fast charging, and sustainable tech.

Built on Rotax E-Power Tech

Both motorcycles feature BRP’s proprietary Rotax E-Power system. It is a liquid-cooled, high-performance electric drive setup that integrates the battery, motor, charger, and inverter into one efficient powertrain. This tech limits energy loss over time, maximises range, and reduces charging time, making the bikes reliable for both new and experienced riders.

  • Can-Am Pulse: Designed for urban agility, with a range of up to 160 km per charge.
  • Can-Am Origin: Tailored for rugged exploration, offering 145 km of city or trail-ready range.

Both models are powered by a robust 8.9 kWh battery. It has been tested under extreme weather conditions — from scorching deserts to freezing winter climates — ensuring all-season reliability.

Performance and Charging Speed

The Pulse and Origin deliver up to 72 Nm of torque at 4,600 rpm, offering quick, responsive acceleration. They feature automatic transmissions, adding ease of use to their list of rider-friendly features.

Charging is equally efficient: both bikes support Level 2 charging, allowing riders to recharge from 20% to 80% in just 50 minutes using either a wallbox at home or a public charging station.

Pioneering the Future of Riding in Indonesia

The arrival of Can-Am’s electric motorcycles is a significant step forward for Indonesia’s EV landscape. As cities like Jakarta move toward greener transportation policies, the Pulse and Origin represent a timely solution for eco-conscious riders who don’t want to compromise on style, power, or capability.

With this launch, Can-Am reasserts itself not only as a legendary motorcycle brand but also as a serious player in the future of two-wheeled electric mobility.
