Chinese motorcycle manufacturer CFMoto has officially introduced a brand-new sub-brand called CFLite, dedicated exclusively to low-displacement two-wheelers. The announcement was made at the Makina Moto Expo 2025 in the Philippines. This is a clear signal of the company’s intent to strengthen its presence in emerging markets like Southeast Asia and South America, where demand for smaller, affordable motorcycles remains strong.
Under the CFLite umbrella, three new motorcycles made their revelation: the 250NK Lite, 250SR Lite, and Dual 230. Each of these bikes is designed with practicality and budget-conscious riders in mind, without sacrificing essential features
CFLite Dual 230: Entry-Level Dual-Sport Adventurer
The Dual 230 is a rugged, off-road-friendly dual-sport motorcycle powered by a 223cc single-cylinder carburetted engine. Simplicity is its strength. It comes with a 21-inch front wheel, 18-inch rear, long-travel suspension, and disc brakes at both ends. Designed for the trail-curious and budget-conscious, it’s likely to appeal to adventure-seekers looking for an affordable way into dual-sport riding.
CFLite 250NK Lite: Street Naked, Simplified
The 250NK Lite is a pared-down version of CFMoto’s existing 250NK. It features a 249cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine that churns out 27 bhp and 22 Nm of torque. It retains essentials like a telescopic fork, rear monoshock, LCD instrument cluster, and disc brakes on both wheels. With its upright seating position, the 250NK Lite is perfect for daily commutes with a dose of sporty flair.
CFLite 250SR Lite: Budget-Friendly Supersport
The 250SR Lite brings the same 249cc engine and performance figures as the 250NK Lite but packages it in a fully-faired supersport design. It shares most of its hardware with its naked sibling, including the LCD display and braking setup. This bike targets young riders or learners looking for a sleek, entry-level sportsbike experience.
CFMoto’s strategic launch of CFLite reflects a growing trend: manufacturers expanding their portfolio downward to capture new riders in developing regions. With this move, CFMoto is no longer just a brand for performance enthusiasts—it’s aiming to become a household name in commuter and beginner-friendly motorcycling, too.
