When it comes to custom motorcycles, few names carry the weight and respect that Maxwell Hazan does. Since 2012, Hazan has been quietly building some of the most striking and meticulously crafted machines on two wheels, all by hand. His work often channels a retro, timeless style. His custom bikes could just as easily be displayed in an art museum as they could be ridden down the highway. With prices soaring as high as US$125,000 (approx. RM600,000), it’s no surprise that Hazan’s clients include elite collectors like Bobby Haas and Hollywood’s Jason Momoa.

But Hazan isn’t content to stay inside the traditional lines of custom bike building. He’s proven time and again that he’s willing to push boundaries, blending beauty, performance, and raw mechanical daring in ways few others dare to attempt.

His latest project? Easily his most outrageous yet.

Custom motorcycle legend Maxwell Hazan unveils his most ambitious project yet: the HF355, a handmade bike powered by a rare Ferrari F355 V8 engine, which blends stunning craftsmanship with outrageous performance.

A Ferrari Heart for a Motorcycle Soul

For over a year now, Hazan has been quietly working on what he calls the HF355. It is a handmade motorcycle housing a 3.5-liter Ferrari V8 engine lifted straight out of an F355. That engine alone is a rare find, considering the F355 is a ‘90s Ferrari icon with prices well into six-figure territory today. It pumps out a fierce 375 horsepower—plenty to make any lightweight bike absolutely feral.

To say this project is ambitious is an understatement. The F355 engine was originally designed to propel a sports car to 183 mph (295 km/h). Now imagine that level of power crammed into a motorcycle weighing under 500 pounds (about 226 kg). Hazan’s goal is to keep the HF355 light enough to remain (relatively) manageable while still delivering a soundtrack and speed that would leave most superbikes trembling.

More Than Just a Crazy Idea

This isn’t some half-baked fantasy. Hazan has been steadily posting updates on Instagram, showing the HF355’s progress from raw metal to an increasingly finished form. So far, we’ve seen the bike featuring inverted front forks and aggressive clip-on handlebars. It also comes with a monstrous SC Project exhaust system, low-slung bodywork, and a beefy racing slick at the rear.

In typical Hazan fashion, everything is built with painstaking attention to detail. Even the oil tank fabrication was documented. It is a reminder that every component is shaped by hand rather than ordered from a catalog.

As of the latest updates, the HF355 is deep into the mapping and testing phase. Hazan still has to tackle the final bodywork, the dashboard, and some ergonomic tweaks, but it’s clear this beast is inching closer to roaring to life.

A New Benchmark for Custom Motorcycles

Maxwell Hazan has never been one to build motorcycles purely for shock value. Even his wildest creations are exercises in craftsmanship and mechanical poetry. The HF355, however, marks a bold new chapter—a machine that doesn’t just push the limits of custom building but shatters them completely.

When it’s finished, this Ferrari-powered marvel won’t just be a motorcycle. It’ll be a one-of-a-kind symphony of speed, engineering, and artistry. And for the lucky collector who eventually claims it, owning the HF355 will be like capturing a piece of history.
