MV Agusta, the iconic Italian motorcycle brand, is once again under the control of the Sardarov family following a brief period of ownership by KTM. This move mirrors a similar transition in 2010 when the Castiglioni family reclaimed the brand from Harley-Davidson.

The Sardarov family’s Art of Mobility S.A. will now independently steer the MV Agusta Group, ensuring the brand’s operations remain unaffected by KTM’s ongoing financial restructuring. In 2024, MV Agusta achieved significant growth, selling 4,000 motorcycles—a 116% increase compared to 2023—highlighting the brand’s resilience and market appeal.

KTM, under Pierer Mobility, initially acquired a stake in MV Agusta in 2022, increasing it to a majority of 50.1% in 2024. However, in November 2024, KTM initiated a legal restructuring process to address its financial challenges, prompting the Sardarov family to regain full control.

Timur Sardarov, CEO of Art of Mobility S.A., expressed pride in the transition, stating, “This reaffirms our commitment to excellence. The structural enhancements we’ve implemented over the last two years are the groundwork for our success in 2024 and beyond.”

MV Agusta’s focus remains on growth and innovation, with its operations in Varese, Italy, continuing to thrive. The brand is committed to introducing exclusive motorcycles and maintaining its legacy of ‘Motorcycle Art.’ This strategic shift ensures the protection of MV Agusta’s supplier and dealer network while solidifying its position as a leader in the motorcycle industry.
