Benelli Tornado 402 rolled out in China with ‘DashCam’ and ‘Slip-Control’

Italian motorcycle brand Benelli, with its manufacturing plant in China, has revealed its latest model for 2023, namely the Tornado 402R.

The ‘sportsbike’ segment motorcycle is Benelli’s brand new model for the global market.

For the record, this is the first time Benelli has produced a ‘sportsbike’ model with a 400cc displacement engine. According to reports, the parallel-twin platform on the 402R is all-new and not borrowed from the QJ Motor model line.

Producing 48hp at 10,000rpm, the Tornado 402R is Benelli’s most powerful 400cc motorcycle ever.

Apart from the brand new engine, this Tornado 402R comes with premium features including a ‘single-sided swingarm’, USD fork, ‘tubular steel’ type frame, and Marzocchi brand rear shock absorber.

This Tornado 402R also features ‘slip-control’ (traction control) and a ‘dashcam’ located between the headlights and the windshield.

Brake equipment consists of Nissin brake callipers with 300mm front and 250mm rear brake discs. The bike’s braking system also comes with anti-lock braking system (ABS).

The Benelli Tornado 402R will be available in China first with a selling price of CNY31,800 (RM20.4k).
