The LCR Team Leader spoke about this possibility to Speedweek: ‘Honda engineers now allow our MotoGP riders to customize their bikes to their needs. This customization is very important. That’s why you sometimes see different aerodynamics with the four drivers over the same weekend. They are from 2021, but they are Step One, or Step Two’.
The changes don’t stop there though: ‘Some drivers occasionally use the rear spoiler, called ‘spoon’, while others don’t. There are different chassis preferences, and the last years can also be seen. Honda allows this customization to the pilots.’
