Romeu Leite dominates CNV in Portimão again

Romeu Leite won the second race of the National Speed Championship (CNV) a combined Superbike and Superstock 600 event, at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve.

After one lap, Leite was in the lead,  after two, the lead was taken over by Tiago Morgado (Yamaha), who would retire on the sixth lap. Ricardo Lopes (RL58 Racing School/Kawasaki) had passed him earlier in the race, taking the lead on lap three after failing to keep the pole position.

On the sixth lap, Leite finally overtook Lopes and took the lead. Following that, he gradually pushed his way to the front, where he was unrivaled, to win by 13.376s. Tiago Cleto (Pequeno Motos Racing Team/Yamaha) would finish second, just ahead of Lopes. Mario Alves (BMW) finished fourth with a time of 44.518s.

Pedro Fragoso (Stand Os Putos Racing Team/Yamaha) finished fifth in the STK600. Ricardo Silva (Motoclube de Loulé/Kawasaki), finished just over two and a half seconds behind.  Silva, in turn, was only 0.518s ahead of Vasco Esturrado (Team Motoclube de Loulé Concelho / Kawasaki) in. Finally, The classification was completed by Tomás Silva (Yamaha).
