Maverick Viñales leaving Yamaha at the end of the year

Despite a contract that would have kept both parties together until 2022, Maverick Vinales had left Yamaha at the end of the season. Meanwhile, time has been ticking, and while rumours point to #12 becoming Aprilia, there are yet any official statements from both parties.

During his time at Yamaha , Vinales has always talked a lot about his potential and how difficult it is to achieve it on a consistent basis. According to sport.sky.it, the move to Aprilia allows the Spaniard to achieve more recognition, receive more attention from the team, and have his demands satisfied, which was enough for the rider to give up €8 million.

If this move to Aprilia happens, Maverick Vinales will be at the center of a structure, with the help of his teammate and friend Aleix Espargaró, while allowing the still Yamaha rider to study the market for the 2023/ 2024 season.
