Pierer Mobility, better known as KTM’s parent company, is known to always set sights on innovation and futuristic developments. One of its forward-thinking subsidiaries, Husqvarna, has probably gotten the future figured out. Always ahead of the rest, Husqvarna’s designs incorporate the past and the future with its revved-up retro styles and tech-loaded functions. Its street bikes like the Vitpilen and Svartpilen garnered the limelight with their steampunk vibes.
This time, Husqvarna is expected to launch another electric two-wheeler. The machinery will take the form of a scooter and is dubbed the E-01. The scooter was supposed to be rolled out this year but it is now pushed to 2022. This makes us even more excited about the launch. The Husky E-01 is a rather futuristic bike that is set to dazzle the market.
According to Ride Apart, the E-01 will share the same underpinnings as the Bajaj Chetak. The Chetak will not be available in the US or Europe. Considering KTM has a partnership with Bajaj, it would make sense for the brand to outsource development and production to India. While catered to the European market, the E-01 will eventually be launched in Asia and perhaps even the US.
The features of the scooter are expected to mimic the Bajaj Chetak. It ought to come with an output of around 11 kW (15 hp).
