Last week we came across the naked Benelli SRK600 leak and this week we have leads on the fully-faired version of the SRK, the Benelli 600RR!
There have been rumours and leaks of few Benelli models lately. Thanks to Chinese media, we came across a few spy shots of the complete Benelli SRK600 street fighter last week. The Benelli SRK600 is the replacement of Benelli’s TNT 600 naked bike which has been in the market for quite some time now. However, this week things get even more interesting with the leaks of the faired sportbike, Benelli 600RR. Just as the Benelli SRK600, the Benelli 600RR was also spotted in a fully completed form. Looking at the leaked photos, the 600RR appears to be ready for launch soon. Here is everything you need to about the 600RR!
Benelli 600RR Leak
Comparing both the leaks, the Benelli SRK600 and the Benelli 600RR share a few similar features. To begin with, most of the mechanics, from the trellis frame to engine, suspension and brakes look very similar in both the models. On top of this, they both seem to be using the same TFT colour instrument cluster too. Furthermore, the rear end the side-mounted exhaust appears to be shared between the two models. However, as for the bodywork, the 600RR features sportbike fairings with lowered handles. So it’s safe to assume the 600RR is essentially a fully-faired version of the SRK600.
Given both of them share the same electronics we can expect to see a few riding modes, multi-stage traction control, ABS and keyless ignition.
In the case of the engine, just like the Benelli SRK600, we can confirm this bike would roll in with a 600cc inline-four engine. This means we can expect a 6-speed transmission and the Benelli 600RR could push around 80hp and 50Nm of torque.
Furthermore, in the case of the suspension, the 600RR features inverted telescopic front forks and mono-shock at the rear like the SRK. As for the brakes, although it cannot be seen very clearly, we speculate Brembo would take care of braking with radially-mounted M4 monoblock callipers similar to the ones in SRK600.
Although fully detailed specs are limited at this point, we will try our best to gather more details on these bikes to keep our readers up to date.
The Launch
Looking at these two bikes in fully complete form, we believe Benelli would unveil the 600RR with the SRK600 and whatever other models they are working on during ECIMA 2020. However, we have to see how the whole COVID-19 situation turns out first.
