Sardarov family secures funding for MV Agusta

Sardarov family secures funding for MV Agusta

The new owners of the MV Agusta brand already have a plan for the Italian brand for the next five years and they’ve secured the necessary funding for it.

It’s not exactly a surprise to a motorcyclist that MV Agusta continues to create some of the most beautiful motorcycles in the World. Unfortunately, over the years the Varese based manufacturer has passed through some rough times.

Luckily, the Italians also seem to have a way out no matter how difficult the situation is. MV Agusta has managed to keep itself alive. But now they are owned by the Sardarov family.

According to a press release issued by MV Agusta, the Sardarov family secured the funding to put into practice a business plan for the next five years.

This means that starting 2020 and until 2025 MV Agusta will be targeting annual sales of 25.000 motorcycles. For that to happen the Italian brand is already working on new motorcycles.

Although the main focus is a set of new middleweight models, MV Agusta will continue to work on some exquisite bikes. They’ve found out that MV enthusiasts really like limited edition bikes, so in the future we will see some truly exotic motorcycles rolling out the Varese factory.

While they produce new mid-sized motorcycles, MV Agusta will also completely revamp how they connect to the clients.

One of the most important changes in the command chain is that Giovanni Castiglioni is now just an advisor of the administration. Timor Sardorov is the new CEO and president of MV Agusta, and will be accompanied at the helm of the company by Massimo Bordi and Paolo Bettin.

They’ve already decided that MV Agusta needs to relate to its customers in a better way. The way to improve customer’s relations is to optimize the way the dealerships answer to customer needs. Mainly how they supply replacement parts for the bikes.

Timor Sardorov wants MV Agusta to greatly improve how the brand supplies motorcycle parts in Europe, United States and Asia. Usually MV Agusta customers complain, according to Sardorov, that they need to wait long time to get simple parts for the bikes. That won’t happen anymore and the supply chain for dealerships is to be revamped as soon as possible.

With faster response times and focusing on motorcycles that motorcyclists can afford, while at the same time continuing to create some exotic and special bikes, MV Agusta future is getting brighter everyday.

With more than ten years as a motorcycle journalist, i enjoy everything that has to do with two-wheels. I'm a fan of sport bikes and i prefer riding them on a racetrack, but give me a road filled with corners and good asphalt and i'll be there to have some fun!
