The Harley-Davidson electric bike LiveWire may be rolling into the Indian market soon.
Heads up! American top gun Harley-Davidson has listed its LiveWire electric motorcycle on its Indian website. The motorcycle manufacturer has listed the bike under its Future Vehicles category, signalling its production in India.
According to Indian Autos Blog, it will take time for the Harley-Davidson LiveWire to reach India. As for the price, the bike currently has a price tag of USD 29,799, which is approximately INR 20.43 lakh. Further taxes and duties would push the cost higher and the ex-showroom India price will be much higher.
In case you missed out on the LiveWire hype, Harley-Davidson has just recently announced the specifications of the bike. It will feature a range of 235 km/full charge. With a DC Fast Charge, the 15.5 kWh battery pack can recharge to 80% in just 40 minutes whereas it will take an hour for a full charge. On the other hand, the standard AC powered wall-charger will cost up to 12 hours 30 minutes.
The LiveWire comes in 7 riding modes. It features Reflex Defensive Rider Systems (RDRS) electronic aids. This includes a Cornering Anti-Lock Braking System (C-ABS), Cornering Traction Control System (C-TCS) and Drag-Torque Slip Control System (DSCS).
