Moto Guzzi adds the Sport variant to the cool V9 Bobber line-up

Moto Guzzi adds the Sport variant to the cool V9 Bobber line-up

Anytime is a good time to see new motorcycles showing up from motorcycle manufacturers, but we’re arriving at that time of the year when every brand starts to show off their new models for the next year. This time it was Moto Guzzi who showed up on our radar, and the reason is the reveal of a new V9 Bobber Sport!

Inspired by the models that populated America in the post-WWII times, the Italian brand decided to alter the character of the V9 Bobber adding some sportiness to this bike, installing new design elements and even giving it better handling with the introduction of new chassis elements.

The engine continues to be the traditional transverse mounted V-twin with a displacement of 853 cc. The engine itself remains unchanged, though now features blacked-out cylinder fins. But as we said, Moto Guzzi changed the way this V9 Bobber Sport behaves, and that is due to the introduction of a new rear-shock absorber, sourced from Öhlins, a fully-adjustable unit.

The rider of the V9 Bobber Sport variant will feel a more direct connection with the bike, and that’s because Guzzi has changed the riding position. This Sport version features wide and lower handlebars matted to a low seat unit, which should make the bike feel compact.

Other than the new burnt orange paint scheme, the bike features blacked out details, fat tyres, and a distinct flat tracker silhouette, while a short front mudguard, nose faring and classic fork dust boots complete the look.

For a full sporty style, Moto Guzzi installs from factory an aluminium slip-on exhausts, painted in matt black.

We still don’t know if Moto Guzzi Malaysia will bring this V9 Bobber Sport to Malaysia, but we’ll try to get this information as soon as possible, and also give you the price, which should be a little bit higher than the standard V9 Bobber.

With more than ten years as a motorcycle journalist, i enjoy everything that has to do with two-wheels. I'm a fan of sport bikes and i prefer riding them on a racetrack, but give me a road filled with corners and good asphalt and i'll be there to have some fun!
