The 2026 Malaysian MotoMini Championship will draw to a close with the simultaneous organisation of Rounds 4 and 5 at the Sepang International Kart Circuit, Selangor, from 18 to 20 September.

The final round of the season is expected to be the most exciting action as all riders still have a chance to change the overall standings. The double-header format of four races over two days offers a maximum of 100 points up for grabs, ensuring that the championship will only be decided at the end of the season.

Apart from chasing the overall champion title, the riders also have additional motivation when the two best riders in the MotoMini Malaysia 160cc category and the two best riders in the 190cc category will represent Malaysia at the MotoMini World Final in Valencia, Spain.

Haqim Al Mahdi Continues to Dominate SIC Ohvale Junior Championship

The main focus is certainly on the sensational seven-year-old racer, Haqim Al Mahdi from the HF MotoMini Team who continues to dominate the SIC Ohvale Junior Championship category.

Haqim came out with a perfect record after recording six consecutive wins over the previous three rounds. This excellent performance allowed him to collect the maximum points of 150 and is on track to emerge as the champion this season.

Fierce Competition in the 160cc Category

The MotoMini Malaysia 160cc competition is expected to be one of the most exciting events this weekend as overall leader, Al-Adam Mikail from Scooter.MY ZNEXLAB IGOL Racing Team, looks to defend his top position.

Al-Adam now has 133 points as a result of his double victory in Beranang and has a 19-point advantage over his nearest challenger, Qaish Isyraf, who has 114 points.

Despite being in front, the advantage is still not comfortable enough as the remaining 100 points on offer open up room for a change in position. Aryan Mikhail, who is in third place with 81 points, also still has a chance to challenge for the title this season.

MotoMini Malaysia Program Director, Zulfahmi Khairuddin said the decision to combine Round 4 and Round 5 was made to meet the race schedule and conditions set by Dorna.

He explained that the remaining 100 points still on offer meant that none of the category leaders could consider their position secure.

According to him, the SIC Ohvale Junior Championship category is increasingly clear in terms of the title fight, but the 160cc category still sees fierce competition involving Al-Adam Mikail, Qaish Isyraf and Aryan Mikhail.

For the 190cc category, he believes the championship is still open, while the RCB MotoKidz Championship also promises exciting action with the participation of several talented young riders.

Zulfahmi is also confident that the four races that will take place in Sepang will provide dramatic action as small-sized motorcycles often produce close races on large circuits.
