A total of 83 young riders from 17 countries have been shortlisted for the 2027 Idemitsu Moto4 Asia Cup Selection Event, which will take place at the Sepang International Kart Circuit on 27 and 28 October 2026.
The shortlist follows another strong application campaign for the Idemitsu Moto4 Asia Cup, with the selected hopefuls now set to compete for a place on the 2027 Moto4 Asia Cup grid.
Among the 83 invited riders are four female competitors, highlighting the growing participation of young riders from different backgrounds in the regional talent development programme.
The two-day Selection Event will see the riders assessed both on and off the track by a panel of experts. Their riding ability, potential and overall performance will be evaluated throughout the event.

Following the assessment, the most promising riders will be offered places on the 2027 Idemitsu Moto4 Asia Cup grid, while a number of other candidates will be selected as reserve riders.
The Idemitsu Moto4 Asia Cup serves as an important entry point for young riders looking to progress into higher levels of motorcycle racing, giving participants the opportunity to gain competitive experience in a professional racing environment.
With the 2027 selection process now entering its final stage, all eyes will be on Sepang in October as the next generation of young Asian racing talent battle for their opportunity to compete in the Moto4 Asia Cup.
