Kawasaki is giving its hybrid motorcycles a meaningful update with the latest enhancements for the Kawasaki Ninja 7 Hybrid and Kawasaki Z7 Hybrid. These bikes are among the few mass-produced hybrid motorcycles in the world, blending electric and combustion power to offer a versatile riding experience.
Smarter Ride Control
The updates focus on refining the rider experience based on feedback from owners, dealers, and media. Kawasaki has upgraded the Electronic Control Unit (ECU), improving drive mode selection and the performance of Sport Mode. These changes make the bikes feel more responsive and enjoyable in a variety of riding conditions.

Extended Electric Range
One of the most practical improvements is the increase in speed for switching between full electric (EV) mode and hybrid mode. Previously limited to 16 mph, riders can now make this transition at speeds up to 37 mph. This change makes navigating urban streets, quiet neighborhoods, and low-emission zones much easier without interrupting the ride.
Sport Mode for Automatic
Sport Mode functionality has been expanded beyond manual transmissions. Riders can now activate Sport Mode while using the automatic transmission, enjoying a more aggressive and dynamic ride without needing to manually shift gears. This enhancement adds flexibility for riders who want performance with convenience.

Available Now
The updated Ninja 7 Hybrid and Z7 Hybrid are now available at select Kawasaki dealerships. Existing owners can also visit their local dealer to receive the update, ensuring they benefit from the improved performance and usability.
With these updates, Kawasaki continues to strengthen its hybrid offerings, combining efficiency, reduced emissions, and rider-focused improvements to make the Ninja 7 and Z7 even more compelling in today’s motorcycle market.
